Karen LeDoux’s academic goals sat on the back burner for decades until she found she could use her existing college credits to complete her bachelor’s degree online. Once she walked through that door, she found new opportunities on the other side.
“I enjoyed it because I could take classes I was interested in. I didn't have a certain curriculum I had to follow to the T. Health always interested in me, so I took a lot of health and psychology classes.”
“It just opened like 25 cans of worms because you're learning marketing, you're learning about law, you're learning about criminal justice, you're learning about mental health, you learn about diversity. So, all things are beginning to make sense and you realize how much everything is connected. It's really cool because you get to dive in and then kind of figure out what works best for you.”
"I could get a lot of hours completed by enrolling in A- and B-term classes. So, I started adding on classes as soon as I realized it wasn’t as hard as I feared; you just have to stay on top of the reading and do the things they tell you to do.”
