The University of Louisiana at Lafayette continues to monitor Tropical Storm Isaac. At this time, Lafayette Parish is not in a state of emergency. University administrators, along with Lafayette Parish officials, are monitoring weather projections.
There are no plans at this time to cancel classes or close the university. The university remains open and classes will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28, as scheduled.
If storm conditions merit a closure of UL Lafayette, the university is prepared for all students who live on campus to shelter in place at the university. Any residence hall student needing assistance should contact the Housing Department.
Should weather conditions warrant cancellations or closures, information will be provided via the 24-hour hotline at (337) 482-2222, local media, the Emergency Notification System, the university’s website at louisiana.edu, and its official Facebook page at facebook.com/officialullafayette.
