UL Lafayette Officials Monitor Tropical Storm Isaac

Sunday, August 26, 6 p.m.:

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Isaac.  The National Hurricane Center predicts Issac will move into the Gulf of Mexico and become a hurricane tonight or Monday.

The University will open on Monday, Aug. 27, on its regular schedule. No classes have been cancelled.

Should weather conditions warrant cancellations or closures, information will be provided via the 24-hour hotline at (337) 482-2222, the Emergency Notification System, the university’s website at louisiana.edu, and its official Facebook page at facebook.com/officialullafayette.

The University will issue the next update on Monday, Aug. 27, by noon.
