Two new student residences on campus will be ready for occupancy this fall at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Construction of the suite-style residences – Bonin Hall and Coronna Hall – is complete, according to Lisa Landry, director of Housing. They are in an area known as the Rose Garden; each can accommodate 460 students.
“We are 100 percent on schedule to open our doors in time for the beginning of the fall semester,” she said. Classes start Aug. 20.
Landry said there is limited space available in the newest residence halls, the Conference Center and Legacy Park apartments. She urged students to apply online now at housing.louisiana.edu
Two campus residence halls opened in the 2011-12 academic year. Baker Hall began housing students for the Fall 2011 semester. Huger Hall followed for the Spring 2012 semester.
“The Housing Department is eager to welcome students to the new and improved campus housing. This is a very exciting time to be a Ragin’ Cajun on campus at UL Lafayette,” Landry said.
