Ragin’ Roar, UL Lafayette’s biggest pep rally of the year, is set for 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Quadrangle on campus.
The event, sponsored by the University Program Council, is traditionally held before Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns’ first home football game. But it had to be rescheduled this year due to Hurricane Isaac.
Ragin’ Cajun cheerleaders; the Ragin’ Jazz dance team; Cayenne, the university’s spirit leader; and UL Lafayette’s Pride of Acadiana Marching Band will be on hand to rev up the crowd.
“Ragin’ Roar is held to get students excited about the upcoming football season and to recognize all athletic teams,” said Heidi Hollingsworth, assistant director of student programming at UL Lafayette.
The public is invited to attend.
The Ragin’ Cajuns will face Florida International University’s Panthers at Cajun Field on Saturday.
