The annual Bill Bass Alumni Open Golf Tournament will be held on Oct. 31 this year. Alumni, fans, and students will be hitting the links as part of “We Are Louisiana” Homecoming 2008 events.
Tournament registration is at 11 a.m. Multiple teams will tee of at noon in a shotgun start. Hamburgers and refreshments will also be served. The tournament is open to everyone and will be held at Les Vieux Chenes Golf Course.
This event is being sponsored by Chase Bank and by the UL Lafayette Alumni Association.
The tournament format is a scramble with each team balanced with high and low handicapped players. Sign up individually or as a team. Entry fee is $100, which includes green fees, cart rental, lunch, t-shirt, refreshments, and a courtesy cart service.
Team prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place teams. Participants can compete for an official Louisiana Ragin' Cajun golf bag by purchasing a $5 raffle ticket.

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will take on Florida International during Homecoming 2008 on Nov. 1. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Cajun Field.
