On June 10, legislators and visitors to the state Capitol in Baton Rouge will be seeing red. University of Louisiana at Lafayette administrators along with officials from Lafayette and surrounding parishes will be at the Capitol for the annual Acadiana Red and White Day.
The event is a collaborative effort between the university, city and parish governments, Acadiana area chambers of commerce, economic development councils, convention and visitors bureaus, South Louisiana Community College, Louisiana Technical College and Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise.
The group is scheduled to attend legislative committee meetings in the morning and then have lunch in the Member's Louge at the Capitol. After a photo on the Capitol steps, the group will be recognized in the House chamber following by recognition in the Senate chamber.
